Frequently Asked Questions

What's inside my mystery box?

Every box contains genuine unclaimed and undeliverable mail packages — the same kind that go uncollected at postal facilities. Contents vary by box and are unknown until you open them. We cannot tell you what's inside in advance, and no two boxes are alike. That's the mystery!

Does it matter that the box hasn't been opened yet — will that affect resale value?

Whether a box has been opened or not does not affect the price you pay. Resale value of any item inside depends entirely on the item itself, its condition, market demand, and platform you sell on. We cannot predict or guarantee what any item will be worth on the secondary market. Think of it as the thrill of discovery — with potential upside.

Can the original owner claim their package back?

No. All items in our mystery boxes are sourced from packages that have been legally abandoned or declared undeliverable after the required holding periods under postal regulations. Once a package enters that process, the original owner's claim to it has lapsed. Items are purchased by Pallet Hugger® through proper channels and legally transferred to our buyers.

Will I find personal information inside?

Packages may contain shipping labels or paperwork with names and addresses. If you find personally identifiable information belonging to someone else, please handle it responsibly — shred or discard it rather than sharing it publicly. We take privacy seriously and ask our buyers to do the same.

Are all sales final?

Yes. Because the contents of each mystery box are unknown at the time of purchase, all mystery box sales are final. We are unable to accept returns or offer refunds based on the items discovered inside. Please refer to our store policies for full details.
